Applied Kinesiology

Applied kinesiology (AK) is the study of muscles and the relationship of muscle strength to health. AK is based on the theory that structural, chemical, mental, or organ dysfunction can be accompanied by a specific muscle weakness. AK techniques of manual muscle testing combined with other standard methods of diagnosis can help pinpoint some of the more complicated issues that patients have. AK, a non-invasive system of evaluating body function, has become a dynamic movement in health care in its relatively short existence.
