Elana has nearly 20 years of professional experience in both yoga instruction and massage therapy. With over 600 hours of multi-modality training including Shiatsu, deep tissue, Lomi-Lomi, Cranio-sacral, and Neuro-Muscular Therapy, she has created her own style which could be described as firm, yet fluid; nurturing and intuitive contrasted with deeper, focused work. She integrates passive movement and stretching into the massage which allows for spontaneous release of muscles as well as better access to the muscle tissue. Her many years of experience as a yoga teacher has informed her abilities as a massage therapist in being able to recognize holding patterns in her clients and being able to guide them with appropriate stretches. Her bodywork strikes a necessary balance between structural therapeutics and soothing the nervous system.
Shantel received her education at UC Riverside, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in psychology. She continued her educational journey in massage therapy and health education at the National Holistic Institute in 2016. During her senior portion of the program, she completed her sports massage therapy externship with the San Francisco 49ers. For the past 4 years, Shantel has served as a member of the body regeneration team for the SF 49ers, where she received extensive training in rehabilitative practices such as myofascial release and neuromuscular re-education techniques. Shantel’s massage therapy employs a balance of different healing styles, combining Eastern & Western modalities that are attuned to her client’s needs. She has developed her massage therapy in order to relieve patients pain, alleviate their stress, and enhance their healing process. She has a tremendous passion for helping people improve their quality of life through promotion of various manual therapies.
"I've never written a review on anyone before, but the quality of Moore's service was so good I wanted friends to know about it in case they ever have problems with their spine or joints. While my previous chiropractor was very good, Dr. Moore's performance was so much better, he is in a class of his own."
"Dr. Hoffman is a fantastic chiropractor and I highly recommend that you come see her if you are interested in chiropractic."
"Dr. Moore is a great chiropractor! He is very friendly, understands your issues and gets the job done. "
"Great staff! Overall, a friendly and awesome experience. I came here with much hesitation as I really didn't think it would help my back. After a few sessions, I realized what a difference it made. I can't recommend them enough."
"Dr. Moore and Dr. Hoffman have treated me for a few years now and I highly recommend them. They are the most knowledgeable, diagnostic, and friendly chiropractors I have received treatment from and I recommend them frequently to my friends, family, coworkers who express that they are in pain."
"I would definitely recommend this office to anyone seeking a chiropractor for the first time or for anyone in search of a new office to visit. Thank you Dr. Moore & staff!"
